Call for Papers
The Journal of Biological and Sustainability Sciences (JBSS) invites rigorous original research and high-quality evidence synthesis within its current eight-domain Aims and Scope.
Invitation for Submissions
JBSS welcomes scientifically sound, reproducible and ethically conducted manuscripts that advance biological knowledge and connect it with human or animal health, biotechnology, food and agriculture, environmental protection, computational innovation or sustainable development. Interdisciplinary submissions are welcome when the research question, methodology and contribution are coherent and clearly aligned with the journal.
Current Priority Scope
The Call for Papers follows the same eight subject domains stated on the current JBSS Aims and Scope page. Authors should submit only work that makes a substantive contribution within one or more of these areas.

Article Types Welcomed
- Original Research Articles, including laboratory, clinical, dental, epidemiological, field, computational and translational studies.
- Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses.
- Scholarly Review Articles and evidence-based state-of-the-art reviews.
- Methods, Protocol and Validation Articles.
- Short Communications and other concise research reports permitted by journal policy.
Scientific and Ethical Expectations
Clinical, human and dental studies must report appropriate ethics/IRB approval and informed consent where applicable; animal studies require appropriate ethics approval. Clinical trials should be prospectively registered when required. Authors should follow study-design-appropriate reporting guidance and provide transparent methods, statistics, data handling and conclusions proportionate to the evidence.
Routine molecular docking, unvalidated computational prediction or software-output-only studies are normally unsuitable unless they address a meaningful scientific question and include rigorous benchmarking, interpretation and appropriate independent or experimental validation.
Submit to JBSS
Before submission, authors should review the full Aims and Scope, Author Guidelines, publication-ethics requirements and relevant journal policies. Submission to JBSS does not guarantee peer review or acceptance; manuscripts are subject to editorial screening and the journal's peer-review process.
